Such a Busy Week!
8:20 AMHello Everyone!
We have had quite the week!
First, Kyle started school on Thursday, yay! He is officially a PhD Student at the University of Texas Arlington. Look at him on his first day of school, precious! He totally looks so excited, doesn't he?
He is starting to see the difference between being and undergrad and a grad student and is liking the change so far. Also, UTA is a super diverse campus so that has been really fun for him as well.
We had one last fun night before school started! We finally found some place that is not so mediocre in Arlington. It was a BIG find, trust me. We still think we will be headed to Fort Worth or Dallas to really hang out or feel like ourselves though.
Quigley obviously feels quite at home in Arlington though. He started finishing up my cup of coffee for me on Saturday.
Oh, Saturday. That was again one of those awesome feel terrible and get torn down then the Lord totally blesses your face off kind of days. (We've had a lot of those lately). We were going to go into Dallas and check out a couple areas that looked fun and get some Clover coffee from Starbucks. We were getting ready to leave and Kyle steps on my computer and completely ruins the display. Just what we needed, an $800-1000 accident when we really weren't sure how the next month is going to play out financially.
But, we figured we might as well go take it into the Apple store and see what they say. Well, it was a lot less than we were planning, yay! So we hung out in Dallas the rest of the day and found some really cool little neighborhoods. Then, when we got home Kyle went to check the mail and we had gotten a check from the university for more than a month's wages with extra to fix my computer!!! The Lord is soooo good and soooooo faithful!
Then, He blessed us with another awesome day on Sunday! We got to go to church at Gateway again and we really feel like that is where the Lord has us right now. We are thinking of checking out some groups this week to really join in the community. Also, UT rented out Six Flags on Sunday, so we no longer had to look at the obnoxious park from the outside, but actually got to enjoy it. And that we did! We also made some new friends and hung out with some of the guys Kyle will be working with and some of his lab mates. So many blessings this week, just so many!
We figured we should take a family photo since we were all looking so cute. We want to give our family a little tour of our place, so that will be coming this week.
Kyle, Katie and Quigley
